Proverbs 3:19-20 (ESV)
19 The Lord by wisdom founded the earth;
by understanding he established the heavens;
20 by his knowledge the deeps broke open,
and the clouds drop down the dew.
Through wisdom, God created the heavens and the earth. How magnificent to ponder the universe and then consider that God established it according to his wisdom. God has firmly fixed our planet in its place until he is ready to bring it to an end. In his wisdom, the Lord separated the moisture in the clouds from the seas and created the life-sustaining water cycle. But God didn’t set things into motion and then step back and remove his hands. Instead, he remains personally involved in all the details of his design. Because he is present in all places at all times, he upholds everything. God wants us to follow after his wisdom, the same wisdom that drove creation! One would have to be a fool to turn her back on God’s offer of his wisdom. Humble yourself before your creator today, ask for insight, and seek him in his word.
