Proverbs 20:22-23 (ESV)
22 Do not say, “I will repay evil”;
wait for the Lord, and he will deliver you.
23 Unequal weights are an abomination to the Lord,
and false scales are not good.
God will help the oppressed and righteous woman, taking care of her, while punishing those who bring her harm. When you are wronged and rejected, resist the temptation to get revenge on your own. God is the source of all justice in the universe. He will not allow any transgression to go unpunished. As an earthly father often quietly watches his children and the way they treat one another, so God watches us. But unlike the earthly father,God sees everything,including every motive behind what is done. When a child is mistreated by her siblings, the father will often sit back for a moment and allow the wronged child to develop strength and character.Yet at the perfect time, the father will step in and settle the score. If you have been wronged, know that God sees your plight. He knows exactly what is going on, precisely what he plans to do, and he will make everything right in the end.
