Proverbs 27:7-8 (ESV)

One who is full loathes honey,

but to one who is hungry everything bitter is sweet.

Like a bird that strays from its nest

is a man who strays from his home.

The person whose belly is full has no room left for dessert. In the same way, the man who is sexually satisfied in his marriage is less likely to be lured by opportunities for infidelity. To the one who is famished, even bitter food is better than nothing, and so the sexually starved husband is more easily won over by the adulteress. The wife who withholds sex from her husband may push him to leave her in the same way troubling circumstances drive a bird from its nest. When he leaves and roams the town, his likelihood of unfaithfulness is increased. Although it may be difficult at times, the wise man is called to remain at home and be faithful to his wife. God has called the husband and wife to the most intimate of all earthly relationships. If married, actively pursue a spiritual, emotional, and physical relationship with your husband today (or tonight).
