Proverbs 2:20-22 (ESV)

20 So you will walk in the way of the good

and keep to the paths of the righteous.

21 For the upright will inhabit the land,

and those with integrity will remain in it,

22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land,

and the treacherous will be rooted out of it.

In contrast to sinful ways that lead to death, the one who puts wisdom into practice will walk along the good paths that God designed for the righteous. Those who live in darkness will be removed from the goodness of the land, and only those who are upright will be allowed to remain. The Lord himself will cut off the ungodly, and he will ultimately restore all things to the way they are supposed to be. God has allowed men and women to dwell on earth and enjoy its blessings, but most have existed selfishly and rejected the authority of God over their lives.Though it may seem like they are prospering without the Lord, there will come a day when God makes all things right. Until then, don’t grow weary in doing what you know the Lord has called you to do. God’s timing is perfect, and he will straighten everything out soon.
