Proverbs 3:27-29 (ESV)
27 Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
when it is in your power to do it.
28 Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again,
tomorrow I will give it”—when you have it with you.
29 Do not plan evil against your neighbor,
who dwells trustingly beside you.
The wise are kind to others. When a woman living according to God’s design has the ability to help, she does what she can.And she doesn’t delay in offering aid. She will not make excuses, but instead gets involved immediately. She is never to take advantage of her trusting neighbor by scheming against him or devising ways to exploit him. The neighbor of the godly woman should feel secure living beside her. Wise people are not self-consumed but honestly look out for those around them. Both the friends and the neighbors of the wise woman know that when necessary, she will quickly come to their aid. What about you? Would others consider you a good neighbor? Do those around you sense you are watching out for them? If you are safe in the Lord, help others to feel secure by caring for them today.
