Proverbs 3:25-26 (ESV)

25 Do not be afraid of sudden terror

or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes,

26 for the Lord will be your confidence

and will keep your foot from being caught.

The one who searches for, finds, and applies God’s wisdom has no need to fear the impending and sudden disaster that will come upon the wicked, because the Lord will keep her safe. Even in the midst of judgment, God will shield those who are his from any and all spiritual harm.Think about Rahab, the prostitute or innkeeper of Jericho who put her trust in the God of Israel. Her home was actually built right into the wall that protected the city of Jericho. When God judged that ancient city, the most dangerous place in the world was where she lived, in the community’s wall. And yet, although the wall collapsed, somehow the Lord kept Rahab and her family safe. Choose to embrace whatever God’s wisdom is asking of you today. Even in the dark, God is with those who are his, every step of the way.
